liboping was inspired by ping, libping and fping: liboping differs from these existing solutions in that it can `ping multiple hosts in parallel using IPv6 or IPv4 transparently. Other design principles were an object oriented interface, simplicity and extensibility. Since version 1.0 has not yet been reached the interface is not yet stable. However, huge changes are not to be expected. A simple binary, called oping is included. It is like ping, ping6, and fping rolled into one. Whats New in This Release: - A case in which file descriptors would not be closed correctly has been fixed. - The includes have been corrected and C++ support has been improved..
