eMonit, the versatile new employee monitor from HeavenWard, makes it easy for mid-size companies to monitor employees' computer activity. Smart companies monitor employees to boost productivity, spot risky behaviors, and enforce policies and rules. eMonit, which was designed to simplify starting and running a monitoring program, installs and configures in minutes without technical knowledge on Windows XP through Windows 8 PCs and servers. eMonit sends encrypted logs from monitored PCs to the employer's computer every 60 seconds. There, employers can quickly review activity on each PC in summary pie-charts or study logs in detail with convenient data filters. eMonit presents activity logs both chronologically, showing the date/time and application used, and in summaries of time spent on each application. Each history entry shows the active program window and the program's full path. eMonit tracks web browsing chronologically showing browsers, page titles, and URLs. When screenshots are enabled, eMonit takes them at regular intervals and displays thumbnail links in sequence. eMonit shows keystroke logs in context with the time, program, and program window in which they were made. eMonit users can send support requests to HeavenWard directly from eMonit's administrator panel, and the online FAQs for eMonit provide simple instructions for installing and using the program. eMonit's web site also offers valuable advice on the steps companies should take to set up their own monitoring programs.
