X11-Basic is a dialect of the BASIC programming language with graphics capability that integrates features like shell scripting, cgi-Programming and full graphical visualisation into the easy to learn basic language on modern computers. The syntax is most similar to the old GFA-Basic ATARI-ST implementation. The actual implementation runs on UNIX workstations (DEC-alpha, HP-UX, FreeBSD, Mac-OSX,...), CygWin and Linux-PCs (SuSE, Rethat, Mandrake, Debian, Ubuntu, Puppy-Linux, DSL linux, ...) with the X Window system. The MS-WINDOWS-Version runs with the Simple direct Layer library (see here). Also an ARM-Linux version with framebuffer support is available, which runs on Handheld devices and Palmtops like the TomTom Car Navigation systems. (see here.)
