SDBootstrapper is a package which can automatically launch (or "bootstrap") SuperDuper! and perform a backup when a specified backup volume is mounted. Intended to make manual backups as simple and painless as possible for mobile users who may find being tied to an external drive or home network difficult or impractical, SDBootstrapper supplies functionality which allows the user to simply plugin their backup drive to their computer, get backed up with the critically acclaimed SuperDuper! software, and then simply unplug the drive. SDBootstrapper allows for multiple drives/backups to be configured, is simple to install and configure, takes up very little system resources, integrates seamlessly with SuperDuper! and, upon successful backup, displays a notification to the user via Growl. Installation requires SuperDuper!, a saved SuperDuper! settings file, a mounted volume to be used as the backup destination, and an installation of Growl.
