Thunderbird does not anymore have the ability to reduce the display size of header planel to one line starting with beta 3. This addon adds a symbol to compact and expand the message header plane. The compact view can be set to either a one or two lines version. A customization dialog can be opened for the toolbar in the header pane to change the displayed buttons and their style. (Do not install this add-on at the same time as the CustomizeHeaderToolbar add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/45601)) The shortcut "SHIFT+h" can be used to toggle between expanded and compact header view. CompactHeader is a Thunderbird add-on that integrates the functionality of "RSS Linkify Subject" by Alex Dedul (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/1704). There is also an option to display only the email addresses in the compact header view. How to Install in Thunderbird: 1. Right-click the link below and choose "Save Link As..." to download and save the file to your hard disk. 2. In Mozilla Thunderbird, open Add-ons from the Tools menu. 3. Click the Install button, and locate/select the file you downloaded and click "OK".
