goo.gl lite is a simple extension for those who want to use goo.gl, Google's URL shortener, without installing their 2MB toolbar. Clicking the Goo.gl button will generate a goo.gl URL and copy it to your clipboard. NOTE: Version 1.5 fixes the problem described in several recent reviews. It will no longer fail due to quota issues. After installation, right-click your Firefox toolbar, click "Customize...", and drag the Goo.gl button to your preferred position. See this review for details. The extension no longer uses ggl-shortener.appspot.com, my app engine gateway. However, if you're interested in using that service for your own projects, see the instructions. However, note that there may still be quota issues with the gateway (this does not affect the extension).
