CapitalismEqualsDystopia is a free and open source, abstract game about the future, and the necessity of being able to conceive of an alternative to the present.<br /><br />Rules:<br />?*A* Capitalists (yellow) emit periodic waves of debilitation. These debilitate<br />the Proles (white) and eventually wear them down, to death.<br />?*A* New Proles are born as others die.<br />?*A* The player acts as a Revolutionary (red) but is subject to the same<br />debilitation as the Proles.<br />?*A* To survive, the player must convince their fellow Proles of the need for<br />revolution/the abolition of capitalism. They do this by going over to a Prole<br />and pressing the action button a number of times. This makes the Prole a<br />Revolutionary.<br />?*A* Revolutionaries are connected to each other. A Revolutionary group acts<br />as (small) protection against capitalism's debilitating effects. Bigger<br />group == more protection.<br />?*A* When a group is big enough, it can topple a Capitalist. Single<br />?*A* Revolutionaries cannot topple Capitalists.<br />?*A* (Non-Player) Revolutionaries try and recruit other Proles to the cause.<br />?*A* (Non-Revolutionary) Proles who collide with Capitalists may become Police<br />(blue) as a result.<br />?*A* Police revert Revolutionaries to Proles if they collide with them.<br />?*A* Police are more affected by the Capitalists' waves of debilitation than Proles<br />and Revolutionaries, and die earlier as a result.
