Right now it works as an add-on on top of the Asterisk software via Asterisk Gateway Protocol (AGI) and Asterisk Manager Interface (AMI) protocols, however it could be ported to work with any VoIP media server that has interface to external IVR applications.<br /><br />VApp applications are created in the Python.<br /><br />The main purpose of the VApp is to simplify development and maintenance of multi-lingual, robust, feature rich and scalable IVR applications. It has been successfully used to build numerous carrier-grade voice applications, including:<br /><br /> * Calling Card<br /> * Database-backed Voicemail<br /> * Auto Attendant<br /> * ANI/SMS/Web Callback<br /> * Predictive Dialer <br /><br />The framework is fully internationalized, and building localized applications is easy.
