This program displays a status message along with the name of the calling program or function. For example, if you are running the program Smoky.m, within the program, you could call Display_Status with the string 'Too many variables'.Display_Status('Too many variables');Then Display_Status would display:Smoky.m: Too many variablesIt can also be used in the same way as fprintf:Display_Status('Too many variables:%d',NumVar);So it is a convenient way to keep track of which program the status update is coming from. Could be useful for complex programs with many subprograms, where you are often changing filenames.
