The electromagnetic torque motors are widely used in electrohydraulic servovalves. They serve to convert the control current into a proportional torque. For more details about this issue, please refer to my book:M Galal Rabie, Fluid Power Engineering, McGraw-Hill, NY, May 18, 2009, pp 336-340This program calculates the torque of an electromagnetic torque motor, considering the ferromagnetic hysteresis. The calculation algorithm is based on the following paper:Hay J.L. and Chaplin R.I., 'Dynamic Simulation of Ferromagnetic Hysteretic Behavior by Digital Computer,' Simulation, December 1975, pp 185-191.
