The software has been designed as universal program for surveillance hybrid platforms running concurrently with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same form and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Users view MPEG coded picture and have full management of the program using net that security station can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular composition significantly boosts reliability because all modules proceed as independent software. If one unit fails, other components keep on working. For example if the `record` unit stops working, `watchdog` starts again it instantly that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` component. The program makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be activated by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on remote workstation via Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many cameras simultaneously. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
