Psycops is a python library that has been specially built to give aid in the creation of Csound scores.

Events are grouped into phrases, and those phrases are grouped into larger phrases to an unlimited level of hierarchy.

The systems can be manipulated with regard to start time, duration of each event, pitch, etc., from any point in the hierarchy from the top downwards.

This gives the programmer a highly malleable paradigm to work with, and makes easy what might otherwise be time consuming alterations should the programmer make changes to high level parameters of a system, such as tempo or key.
