Total Assistant provides an easy way to count the number of words and characters in one or more files. Just drag and drop the files to be totalled, either selected files or whole folders. Total Assistant then shows the word and character counts for each file and the total for all files.

Multiple files of various formats, including MS Word, HTML, Acrobat PDF, PowerPoint, text, etc are handled. Counts the text that Microsoft products don't.
