Agitprop is a Mac OS X application for liberating your blog entries from Lifli Softwarels iBlog application. iBlog (1.4.x and earlier) does not readily provide any form of export functionality that preserves all of your blog entry information, such as category, posting date, etc. Agitprop was written for the express purpose of migrating all of your blog entry information to the MovableType import file format so it can then be imported into MovableType, Wordpress, etc. Additionally, Agitprop supports the Growl global notification system for Mac OS X, should you have it installed.I wrote it to migrate my nearly 300 blog entries from iBlog to WordPress 1.2.x and WordPress 1.5. I then used Ecto to tweak the various entries once they were up in the server and things have gone smoothly ever since. Agitprop is free for your use. Granted, itls not something yould use oftenlhow many times do you extract data from your iBlog dataset?lbut it is free for your use. Of course, any donations or nice comments are always welcome.
