PuzzleGetter is a utility for downloading various crosswords (National Post, LA Times, Cross Canada, Houston Chronicle) with a single mouse click. The puzzles (saved in Across Lite format -- .puz) are then saved onto the desktop in an appropriately named file, such as NP_5/14/2003.puz (for a National Post crossword downloaded on May 14,2003), where the prefix names the source of the puzzle, and the rest of the name shows the date it was downloaded. To view the files that are downloaded, you must have an AcrossLite compatible crossword reading application (such as the MacXword application from Advenio Software).
