An exact model of the Earth to Mars trajectory, "Mars Pathfinder" is set up just like the standard five thrust NASA missions to Mars. Plan your own mission, study the results (all 16 significant digits worth), then try a new scenario to see if you can get to Mars faster, cheaper, and safer. No technical experience required, but much acquired.
