Yanf is a configurable news fetcher coded in C that fetches news from many news sites and outputs what it fetches in a configurable format. It can fetch news from backends that use the format used by Slashdot, Freshmeat, 32bitsonline, Segfault, Packetstorm, LinuxTelephony, LinuxToday, LinuxApps, BeBits, Geeknews, Linux2000, and Securityfocus . It also supports the RSS/RDF forma,t and the daily static cartoon from Userfriendly.<br />It's configurable from a config file. From the config file you can add new sites, remove the ones you dont like, configure the output format, etc.<br />If you want to see an example page generated by yanf you can go to yanf.sourceforge.net/daily.html<br /><br />I am coding yanf alone, so if you want to help, report a bug, or just tell me that you hate/love yanf, don't doubt and send me a mail to yanf@gmx.net. I would really apreciate it.
