A demo program of image edge detection using ant colony optimization.

This is a demo program of Image edge% detection using variation-adaptive ant colony optimization, Transactions on CCI V, LNCS 6910, 2011, pp. 27-40.

The file contains two functions:edgechaincode - Binary image edge detector, 4 and 8 directions.Can be used as the first step in chain code compression.runlength - Run-Length encoding of binary image.Does not contain decoding.Probably can be done without loops.
