The Python Imaging Library (PIL) adds image processing capabilities to your Python interpreter. This library supports many file formats, and provides powerful image processing and graphics capabilities. The current free version is PIL 1.1.5, which has been tested with Python 1.5.2 and newer, including 2.3 and 2.5..
