URBI: Universal Robotic Body Interface. URBI is a scripted command language used to control robots (AIBO, pioneer,...). It is a robot-independant API. URBI Project is based on a client/server architecture and it is designed to be used over a TCP/IP or IPC connection.. URBI is a Universal Real-Time Behavior Interface and allows to control any robot with a powerful script protocol language, that can be interfaced with several popular programming language (C++, Java, Matlab,...) and OS (Windows, Mac OSX, Linux), using a client/server architecture. URBI is used as well by academic research labs, the industry and by hobbyists.
