XMMSMG is a XMMS based player that removes the graphical user interface code. It allows one to use remote players like the gnome xmms applet without bringing up another window. Others are using it as a base for their own standalone mp3 players. To install you have to be root and to follow these steps: Create .xmmsmg and .xmmsmg/Plugins directories in your home directory. Run make as yourself. Run install as root. This new release (xmmsmg-1.9.2) has the first implementation of Interface Plugins. Whats New in This Release: - Created stubs for InterfacePlugin - Removed console interface from xmms main - Created simple console interface as a plugin. XMMS without a GUI
