FreeBASIC is a multiplatform, free and open code compiler for BASIC. Its syntax is the most similar and compatible with that of MS-QuickBASIC (including GFX sentences), but it adds some characteristics that improve and widen the possibilities. For example, points, data types without signs, assembler and processor and much more.It is a compiler, or development setting, for BASIC language that is quite standardized. Here are its best features: * Availability of a large number of variable types. * Vectors. * Complete comptibility with BASIC. * Integrated GFX library. * Very clean syntax. * Totally free. * Create OBJ+s, LIB+s, DLL dynamic libraries, and runnable EXE+s for consoles or for graphic interfaces. * Support for debugging. * ENUM+s. * Escape characters within literal chains. * Loads of functions. * Inline assembly. * The majority of libraries for C language can be used directly in FreeBASIC. * It is multiplataform and multithread. * Generation of optimized code. * Pointers. * Preprocessor. * Type definition. * Support for Unicode. * Unlimited number of symbols. * Support for user-defined types. * Variable initializer (including arrays and user-defined types).
