Yahoo mail is best Freeware to login into your Yahoo mail account virtually from your desktop without a web browser. Yahoo Mail is yet another tool addressed to Yahoo users, this time aimed at those preferring the mail service, offering a very simple way to check an account for new messages automatically.

Especially developed with a single goal in mind, Yahoo Mail does just that, so the configuration process is nothing to worry about.

After installation comes to an end, the program prompts users to input the Yahoo ID and the password, giving them the option to also set up the interval for automatically checking the inbox.

There are dedicated tools to minimize the application to System Tray, start it with Windows and save the provided password.

Once you're done with the configuration task, Yahoo Mail places a small widget-like window on the desktop that informs you whenever a new message lands in your Inbox. As you can find out by reading its name, Yahoo Mail is especially supposed to check the email and nothing more, so it does not show the content of a new message.

Supposed to run all the time, the application is far from being a resource hog, which means it runs on low resources and does not hamper system performance at all.

We've noticed some compatibility issues on Windows 7 however, as the program refused to log in with the provided user name and password every once in a while.

All things considered, Yahoo Mail is a handy utility for most Yahoo Mail users that does exactly the same thing as Yahoo Messenger, but without the need for the popular instant messaging client.
