SolidShare gives security through a firewall and the possibility to share an Internet connection (of any type: modem, cable, broadband) in a LAN setting.This lets any LAN user connect to the Internet with only one ISP and a modem. After installing SolidShare, any user of the LAN will have access immediately, transparent and secure, to the Internet. Also, the integrated firewall can prevent exposing resources to the outside, and defend against possible attacks.SolidShare has support for the majority of applications and Web protocols, like DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Telnet, SMTP, POP3, NNTP, ping, traceroute, FTP applications, chat, players, etc. For any program, in summary, that needs to be connected to the Internet. As if this weren`t enough, the configuration assistants make the program preparation easy.
