DocKIT is a simple tool to overcome the cumbersome exercise of importing and migrating documents from multiple systems & sources - Microsoft Windows Shares & Microsoft Exchange Server Public Folders, into Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server.
The major advantages of using DocKIT as against manual migration of documents:
• Provides a one-step solution to import documents
• Retains the existing NTFS/Public Folder permissions and simultaneously safeguards the SharePoint security
• Automatically sets the documents to "check-in" state, when moved to SharePoint
DocKIT has been developed to address the specific needs of companies that are deploying SharePoint Portal Servers and migrating their existing documents and file repositories into SharePoint.
