Hungry Geese is a math game that gives students practice comparing whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and integers. Feed the goose by touching the greater number, and the goose will eat it. This app benefits elementary and middle school students, and it can also be used in special education.

Key Features:

* Players get immediate visual and auditory feedback about which number they choose.

* This game has 12 levels that get more challenging as you go.

* The items are randomized so your experience with each level is unique.

Hungry Geese targets the following Common Core Standards:

K.CC.7 - Compare two numbers between 1 and 10 presented as written numerals.

1.NBT.3 - Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits, recording the results of comparisons with the symbols for greater than, equal, or less than.

2.NBT.4 - Compare two three-digit numbers based on meanings of the hundreds, tens, and ones digits, using symbols for greater than, equal, or less than to record the results of comparisons.

3.NF.3d - Compare two fractions with the same numerator or the same denominator by reasoning about their size. Record the results of comparisons with the symbols for greater than, equal, or less than, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.

4.NF.2 - Compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators, e.g., by creating common denominators or numerators, or by comparing to a benchmark fraction such as 1/2. Record the results of comparisons with symbols for greater than, equal, or less than, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual fraction model.

4.NF.7 - Compare two decimals to hundredths by reasoning about their size. Record the results of comparisons with the symbols for greater than, equal, or less than, and justify the conclusions, e.g., by using a visual model.

5.NBT.3b - Compare two decimals to the thousandths based on the meaning of the digits in each place, using the symbols for greater than, equal, or less than to record the results of comparisons.

6.NS.7 - Understand ordering and absolute value of rational numbers. Interpret statements of inequality as statements about the relative position of two numbers on a number line diagram.
