Distribute Virtual Disk System(DSCSI), a network disk system, DSCSI used a server by using it's disk or disk image file as a data source. DSCSI provided the data service for the clients, and create a disk(all the same as the server's) on the user's computer, The user use this disk all the same as the disk on the server, such as disk partition,disk format and so on.
DSCSI Provided virtual write technology, what was virtual write technology mean? that is, the user may carry on some operation (read, write, etc.) wille using the disk, but all operations only affect himself/herself rather than affect the others using this disk.
Architecture:
Using the existing technologies of TCP/IP, LAN and Client/Server structure ,adopt the technologies of virtual disk and network communication. This product are developed independently, share the storage system of the host computer by TCP server on it.
Functions:
Transform the whole disk on server to the same virtual one on workstation.
Transform one partition on server to a virtual hard disk on workstation, the disk has the same partition as the server.?
Transform the CD-ROM on server to a virtual one on workstation.
Transform the enantiomorphous files on server to virtual disk or virtual CD-ROM.
use the virtual equipments as real ones,for example,format the virtual disk , read and write data files and execute programs,etc.
By optional, all the operation on clients will take effect temporarly, after remounted the virtual disk or restarted the computer, the data on the clients will be recovered.(or remanipulation by clients takes effect temporarily, recover by startup again.)
Clients can map a local imaged file to a virtual disk or virtual CD-ROM, that is, clients can use this system as a virtual CD-ROM or virtual disk without servers. (Offer virtual disk and virtual CD-ROM which use local enantiomorph to clients.)

The form of this disk on client is same as that on the other real hard disk. We can read,write and delete files and folders, even format the disk. Abd it can be managed by disk manager of windows administrator's tools. For example, manage parrition, disk defragment and so on. By default, all the operation for this disk? make affect your own disk rather than the others.
Compared with sharing folders, the advantage is that many clients can run programs and games freely(normally) at the same time, just like on their own computer. When some programs are running ,its read or write date files, so, this programs could not running normally when it's server useing sharing folders with readonly access mode,even if with full access mode,the conflictions which are produced by several customers lead to abnormal running are also exist, and resources on server are extremely unsafe in this full access mode. DSCSI make many customers use the resources on server freely by virtual drivers process and all these are transparent to customers. Customers use the resources just like on their PC. For example,customer A create a file and write some data when customer B does the same thing. But customer A only see his data rather than customer B's when he open the file and read it. In the same way, there is no problem when a program of customer A locks a file and customer B accesse it synchronously under the system with DSCSI. But we can't carry out these by the way of sharing folders.
So, DSCSI offer a strong, secure, dependable and flexible solution of making data sharing services.
