SoftX HTTP Debugger is a full-scale tool for developers for viewing and analyzing all outgoing and incoming HTTP protocol traffic between a web browser, or any other Internet related program, and the Internet.

Each HTTP request and/or response can be examined to see the HTTP header parameter values, cookies, query strings and error codes etc. All captured network traffic can be saved either in a RAW network format or in a decoded (how browsers see it) format.

HTTP Debugger works with all today's alternative browsers and their plugins, as well as with your own software. You can even monitor and debug ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger and other popular Internet programs.

SoftX HTTP Debugger, an HTTP sniffer and analyzer, is a full-scale tool for developers that allows you to capture, view and analyze all communications between a web browser or any other program, and the Internet.

Capture, view and analyze HTTP protocol
By intercepting and analyzing HTTP protocol headers with our HTTP sniffer and analyzer, you can retrieve a wide range of information about your web site and web server. Such information includes; the used HTTP method (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, etc), the supported HTTP version, the supported encodings, the used cookies, the server platform, the HTTP content encoding and length, the returned error codes etc. By analyzing the HTTP protocol content you can view submitted HTML form details, HTML/XML web page sources, stylesheets, images and more.

Preview and save captured web pages, images and files
With our HTTP protocol sniffer and analyzer you can preview all captured web pages and images in the built-in web browser control. All captured HTTP protocol traffic can be exported into the log file either in the RAW network or in a decoded (how browsers see it) format.

Optimize your web site performance
You can significantly optimize your web site performance with the HTTP sniffer and analyzer, by analyzing the results provided by the program. For each downloaded HTTP resource (web page, image, flash movie, etc) the HTTP sniffer and analyzer calculates its size and its download time. You can use this information to pinpoint large web pages and if necessary divide them into smaller parts, and to find dynamic web pages that perform slowly and need optimizing for speed.

Filters and breakpoints
By setting a variety of filters you can tell HTTP sniffer and analyzer to show only the information that is essential for you, and filter useless (at this moment) information. For example, you can set the program to show the results only for a particular subdomain of your web site, or to not show the results if the referrer contains a specified address. By setting a breakpoint you can tell HTTP sniffer and analyzer to pause a particular HTTP request or response if it matches your criteria; for example, if it contains a specified word in the cookie string. When a breakpoint is triggered, the HTTP sniffer and analyzer will pause this particular request and will give you the option of continuing or stopping it. At this point you can make some additional checks if necessary.

A wide range of supported programs
HTTP sniffer and analyzer works with all popular web browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Opera, etc) and their plugins. Software developers can use HTTP sniffer and analyzer to capture and analyze the HTTP traffic of their own custom software program. Moreover, you can simultaneously analyze the same web page in Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Opera and in your own program, and see the results of all these programs in one single HTTP sniffer and analyzer window.

HTTP protocol sniffer does not mess up your computer
Our HTTP sniffer and analyzer is NOT an HTTP proxy server, and does not need your system or web browser settings to be changed. Also it does not install any network driver or system component onto your computer and does not affect the performance of your computer.
