OCR Free is text recognition software that performs all your tedious retyping and recreating work at lightning speed into Word documents you can edit on your PC or archive in a document repository. The free OCR software works with any of the popular image files of JPG, JPEG, PSD, PNG, GIF, TIFF, BMP and more from a scanner attached to your computer or a digital camera, scanned image files received from a friend, or image files stored on your computer, etc.

This free image OCR software provides zoom tools to help you get the input file just right. You can also zoom by moving the mouse scroll wheel. If the orientation of scanned documents is skewed, using Rotate tools to correct them to their up-right position. The editing feature enables you to directly modify extracted text content before saving as Word document. In just a few clicks, you can get fully editable and searchable files in MS Word or TXT. This free OCR tool also lets you send recognition results directly to Microsoft Word create editable, searchable files and e-books instead of saving recognition results and opening them in another application for editing. Never retype any text and save time finding back the documents you archived!

This free OCR software also can interface with multiple types of scanners. In this way, you can scan paper documents and then OCR text directly from scanned images to increase the productivity and unleash the power of your document.
