django-navtree is a Django app that provides a hierarchical navigation system. It takes over the URL naming for the resources that it is charge of, but should otherwise play nicely with existing projects. django-navtree defaults to using django.contrib.flatpages for the content, but can be linked to any other content by including NAVIGATION_USE_FLATPAGES = False in your settings file. django-navtree can provide tight integration with javascript (jquery), and css, and allows you to set colours/pictures based on nav_item through the django admin interface. #md5=7428f83abd9cf52b0b78bd93b9216be8
