markv 1.1.0

markv is an incredibly useful program that converts perfectly good text files into utter nonsense. (Why? Because it's good for you.)<br /><br />It uses an algorithm from Jon Bentley's book, Programming Pearls, to recreate the behavior of Mark V. Shaney, a famous program by Bruce Ellis and Don P. Mitchell.<br /><br />Usage: markv [OPTIONS] [FILE ...]<br />markv [OPTIONS] --load FILE<br /><br />Takes ASCII text files and outputs nonsense<br /><br />Options:<br />-d, --depth NUM search depth (1 to 10, default 2)<br />-h, --help show this usage message, then exit<br />-l, --load FILE load a previously stored data file<br />-m, --max NUM maximum number of words to produce<br />-o, --output FILE write to FILE instead of standard output<br />-p, --para format output to mimic paragraphs<br />-s, --store output processed data for later use<br />-S, --seed NUM seed random number generator with NUM<br />-v, --version show program version, then exit<br />-w, --width NUM maximum line width for output<br /><br />The load and store options are mutually exclusive.<br />The depth option has no effect on loaded data files.
