pology-servicemenu 1.2

With pology-servicemenu you'll be able to use Pology from the comfort of your file browser.<br /><br />It allows you to:<br /><br />- check your translation for inconsistencies against standards set by your team,<br />- check your spelling and grammar<br />- check for bad XML tags,<br />- generate and install a MO from a PO file<br />- convert a template file (POT) into a PO ready for translation.<br /><br />You can run the tests separately or as a whole on as many PO as you like. The results will be written in a text file named after the PO with an appropriate suffix (e.g. kgeography_spelling.txt).<br /><br />Unfortunately, the conversions to POT or MO files must be done one file at a time.<br /><br />To use it, you'll obviously need to install Pology (see links below). You'll also need to add Pology 'bin' folder to your paths (e.g. 'export PYTHONPATH=$PYTHONPATH:/opt' and 'export PATH=$PATH:/opt/pology/bin').<br /><br />The following are not required but will allow you to use all options: gettext, aspell (with a dictionary) and languageTool.<br /><br />You can find help on how to setup Pology on your system:<br />- in English http://techbase.kde.org/Localization/Tools/Pology<br />- in French http://fr.l10n.kde.org/pology.php<br /><br />To use this service menu in KDE4:<br />Single-user installation: copy the .desktop files to ~/.kde4/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/<br />System-wide installation: copy the .desktop files to /usr/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/
