Hocuspocus for Linux 2.0

Hocuspocus is a remote control system for key Linux applications.<br /><br />They can be controlled remotely via a web server. This means you can adjust things like system volume from any browser, including a wifi enabled PDA such as the Iphone. Hocuspocus is written in Python using Greg Stein's EZT templating system.<br /><br />Supported applications:<br /><br />- Audacious<br />- VLC<br />- Alsa sound system<br />- Playlists<br /><br />Launching A Single Server<br /><br />in this directory just run<br /><br />./hocuspocus.py<br /><br />This will start a single server on the port specified in ./hocuspocus.conf. This config files also authorization and authentication settings.<br /><br />Configuration and Customization<br /><br />There more configuration in Config/*.conf. The html templates can be found at Templates/*ezt. The css style sheet used by all templates lives in<br />Resources/default.css.<br /><br />Password<br /><br />The default user password combination is (default, admin). Also certain machines from local subnets are allowed.<br /><br />Running Multiple Servers<br /><br />If you have multiple servers running you can use the proxy ./service_manager.py to provide a single access point for all of them. This will also reduce the number of holes you have to punch in your firewal
