It has been around 6 years now. in 2004, there were only very few ugly fonts. Raghindi (Raghu hindi) font was there, but look very casual kind of font. Mangal by microsoft is really a eye-sore. :) Being a non-professional in font field, and licensing things. I did not care much. The font exception came a bit later I guess. So, there was no need to add any exceptions etc... Gurumaa opentype font is based on binary Indic.ttf (GPL) by Sanjay Khatri; I did not use/modify Sanjay Khatri's font's source. I added the code required to the Combination/Complex Devanagari Characters to work in Linux and Windows XP. Now Reading Hindi in Windows is pleasurable! I have uploaded only the Gurumaa.ttf, as XP and Openoffice/Gnome can do both Bold and Italics. Unfortunately KDE4x can do italics only, and bold variations does not work with KDE.
