PLT Scheme (formerly DrScheme) for Sparc Solaris (SunOS) 4.2

PLT Scheme is an interactive, integrated, graphical programming environment for the Scheme, MzScheme, and MrEd programming languages.<br /><br />PLT Scheme provides source highlighting for syntax and run-time errors, support for multiple language levels, an algebraic stepper, objects, modules, a GUI library, TCP/IP, unicode, and much more. It includes an extensive, hyper-linked help system called Help Desk, available from the Help menu. The Tour of PLT Scheme describes many of these features in greater detail. PLT Scheme is a tool that provides source highlighting for syntax.<br /><br />You can enhance PLT Scheme with many add-ons, including MrFlow, a static debugger, and MysterX, which adds COM support under Windows.<br /><br />Installation instructions<br />- This is a self-installing shell script. Use the following instructions to run the script:<br />> chmod +x plt-4.2-bin-sparc-solaris.sh<br />> sh plt-4.2-bin-sparc-solaris.sh<br /><br />- The installer will verify its integrity, then ask you where you want to install the PLT tree. Optionally, it can create some links in standard directories like links in the system???*a*?s bin, lib, and man directories (it will ask for your permission first).<br /><br />Note: These binaries were compiled on a fairly maintained Sparc machine. You might need to adjust LD_LIBRARY_PATH to point to a directory where you have GCC runtime-libraries. You might also need to adjust limits, in particular datasize and stacksize (eg, ulimit -s unlimited; ulimit -d unlimited)
