PointSMS was written in PHP and aims to provide an easy to use software that enables you to build your own sms gateway, to manage your clients, to send invoices and many other features.<br /><br />PointSMS can be configured to work with Clickatell gateway and Kannel server. (In support section you will find a complete how to guide abou kannel configuration).<br /><br />Installation<br /><br />Unzip PointSMS to your web server root directory<br /> tar xvf PointSMS_1.0.0.tar<br /><br />Create a mysql database eg. pointsms<br /><br />Go to db folder and use mysql dumb to create the mysql tables<br /> mysql -u root -p pointsms < PointSMS_db.sql<br /><br />Go to inc folder and find config.php, use an editor like vi to edit the file<br /> vi config.php<br /><br />Dont forget to own by apache the firmware folder (eg. chown -R apache.apache /tmp/firmware)<br /><br />Configuration<br /><br />Login to PointSMS http://localhost/admin.php using the default username and password:<br /> username: admin<br /> password: pointsms<br />Go to settings page and complete all the fields<br />For more info go to help page inside the application<br /><br />Here are some key features of "PointSMS":<br /><br />?*A* Easy to install and to use<br />?*A* Complete UTF-8 support (Greek language supported)<br />?*A* Easy to manage your clients account (add,modify,delete,disable)<br />?*A* SMS Limits/Credits<br />?*A* Inoice System to send invoices through email to your customers<br />?*A* A complete transaction log<br />?*A* Online software updates<br />?*A* Incoming messages if you use kannel as backend<br />?*A* Flash player if you want to publish sms in tv for example<br />?*A* XML output for incoming sms<br />
