xlsLib is a multiplatform, a C/C++ library for dynamically generating Excel(TM) files (*.xls format). It allows the generation of these files directly without the need of other assistive software.<br /><br />xlsLib can be used:<br /><br /> as a statically linked library. xlsLib can easily be integrated in any C/C++ project.<br /> As a dynamically linked library. The classic shared object scheme can be followed for using xlsLib.<br /><br />Features.<br /><br />xlsLib creates Excel(TM) spreadsheets with the following features:<br /><br /> Easy to use, fully object oriented, API.<br /> Excel(TM) 97 format spreadsheets (BIFF8) - this is the most recent BIFF format.<br /> Multiple worksheets.<br /> All standard font styles and colors.<br /> All standard cell styles, colors and properties.<br /> All standard cell border-styles and colors.<br /> Three basic cell types:<br /> Blank: Change the size, or merge multiple cells.<br /> Label: Create text that can be formated in all standard styles.<br /> Number: Integer or floating numbers, with all standard number formats.<br /> Merged cells.<br /> Handling of cells using ranges.<br /><br />Check the TODO section for information about current limitations and future enhancements.
