Let's face it, any organization that hires you has to keep track of what you do and how much time it takes you to do it.<br /><br />I believe the best way to do it is to have some sort of monitoring system that would automatically know what you're doing and keep track of it.<br /><br />Unfortunately, most companies don't have such a system and are not willing to invest in order to develop such a thing.<br /><br />They'll usually go for the easier way : Ask all employee to keep track of their time and tasks themselves. They'll probably have a home-brewed system that allows you to record your time. Most of the time, those systems take too much time and aren't user-friendly at all.<br /><br />The goal of this project is the develop a lightweight tool that would make keeping track of your time as efficient as possible. At some point, the tool could also interact with other components such as SVN. Imagine having your time automatically logged when you commit a patch for example.<br /><br />Enough babbling, let's code.
