Lens-stacker allows user specification of a set of components and then determines the optical properties (focal length, minimum object distance, maximum magnification) of various stacked combinations. This allows the user to try alternatives or have fun achieving new effects. The combination may be specified by the user or the program can scan over all possible combinations subject to various constraints.<br /><br />Lens-stacker deduces the optical matrices for the specified components and then computes the optical parameters of each configuration under consideration. It is a command line program and runs on unix systems (include MacOS). It does not involve any special libraries, so it should be quite portable.
