Xiss web (Xiss for XML Interactive Slide Show) is a external linkJava??a*zNz tool based on external linkW3C standards (XML, XSLT, HTML/XHTML, CSS) that builds HTML pages to present photos as slide shows.<br /><br />Xiss web comprises:<br /> * 2 XML languages: contents description and presentation layout,<br /> * a sower: generates or update XML descriptions from images organized in directories;<br /> * a reverser: gets image comments in existing HTML files to complete XML descriptions (eg. from an existing web site);<br /> * a builder: builds off line HTML files with XML descriptions;<br /> * 3 libraries:<br /> o file for processing along a hierarchy of directories exploration,<br /> o external linkSwing worker for controlling long process and,<br /> o preferences manager using only file as a persistent storage.<br /><br />One of the main characteristics of the generated slide show is to have thumbnails always visible when browsing images.<br /><br />Xiss web extracts some meta data (external linkIPTC, external linkEXIF) from images, eacth time it's possible. By example GPS data presented with external linkGoogle Maps.<br /><br />Xiss web allows animated transition between images during slide show navigation, with scripts using external linkJQuery.<br /><br />Xiss web can manage together your HTML pages and slide show. Xiss web is designed to generate pages for slide show and not to generate an entire web site.
