Reversi: The Eclipse puts Othello into a mythological context that somehow reminds me of Ishido. It's a sun vs. moon thing, you can choose Luna or Apollo as your opponent (this choice only affects graphics and speech, you always play moon, unless I have overlooked something). The sun and moon in the background represent the relative strength of the players. If you win, the eclipse is total, the statue of your opponent is shattered: "You may have won, but I am still a goddess."<br /><br />There are lots of configuration options. The strength of your computer adversary can be adjusted with a bar and is quite formidable when pushed up, legal moves can be shown for you or your adversary or both, speech can be turned off or on and the 3D board can be replaced by a more conventional top-down view. As is customary for the Macintosh you can save and reload games, and you can even play against others over the Internet, a rare feature with Othello games.
