Splinterblast 1.0 Beta

Splinterblast is a take on the classic arcade-style space shooter genre. I actually made versions of this game in Winter of 2006 (using the GameMaker utility) and again in Fall 2007 (using the QE engine), but, due to time constraints, these were only demos. After graduation, I decided to remake the game to completion using my own engine.<br /><br />The entire process took about one month (July-August 2009), and I did everything, from programming and design, to artwork, music, and sound. The game is written in C and C++ using my game engine. It is currently available for Mac OS X, and I am working on porting it to Windows.<br /><br />You can see screenshots, watch a gameplay video, or download a beta release and source code below.<br />Stendhal is a fully fledged multiplayer online adventures game (MMORPG) developed using the Arianne game development system.<br /><br />Stendhal features a new, rich and expanding world in which you can explore towns, buildings, plains, caves and dungeons.<br />You will meet NPCs and acquire tasks and quests for valuable experience and cold hard cash.<br />Your character will develop and grow and with each new level up become stronger and better. With the money you acquire you can buy new items and improve your armour and weapons.<br />And for the blood thirsty of you; satisfy your killing desires by roaming the world in search of evil monsters!
