Jack of Hartz is a free interactive fiction novel with a fantasy theme. A sheltered glade in the Royal Forests, surrounded on all sides by tall, graceful trees. One in particular stands out because of its immense size.<br /><br />To the east a path meanders through the forest, while to the south can be seen a pit. Northwards further progress is barred by high mountains, and dense forest stretches away as far as the eye can see to the west. The pleasant sound of chirping birds fills the air.
