In this simulation, a background video shows a ball being thrown and following a free fall trajectory. The video displays 15 frames per second and a reference vertical bar with pieces which are 10 cm long each. The simulation superimposes a calculated trajectory of a red circle according to free fall equations x'' = -g, where g is the acceleration due to gravity. The user is asked to set the initial conditions of the motion of the red circle and the value of g, so that the trajectory of the red circle matches (and therefor hides) that of the while ball in the video. Please note that this resource requires Quicktime, or Xuggle.
