This example demonstrates how a single new function of FileMaker Pro 8 made it extremely easy to implement simulated horizontal portals and matrices (spreadsheet-like portals). There are no extra relationships necessary to simulate the special portals. Only a single calculation for every displayed related field is used thanks to the FileMaker Pro 8's function GetNthRecord.
