PitchBlack is a Mac OS X screensaver that puts the display to sleep. Background This screensaver is not the only way to achieve a display sleep. You can: * configure Expos?*A* to trigger it through an active screen corner (System Preferences > Expos?*A* & Spaces > Expos?*A*) * use keyboard shortcuts: o to put the display to sleep: ???SN* ??a*?A* ? (Control + Shift + Eject) o to put the computer to sleep: ???SO? ???S? ? (Option + Command + Eject) * programatically trigger it throught the command-line, for one minute later: pmset displaysleep 1 (run as root) PitchBlack is mostly useful if you are on OS X 10.6 and want to use a screensaver to achieve a display sleep.
