An administrator-configurable action that makes HTTP requests. Why is this useful? Quick-and-dirty integration with web services, pinging of external servers, and other assorted web tasks can all be performed when nodes are posted, users register, cron runs, and more. Anywhere you can trigger an action, you can fire off a request to a site with REST APIs.Naturally, this can be used for evil, and will probably cause you to explode in flames if badly-formed HTTP requests are sent to important servers. Treat it with the same care you would the PHP input filter.
