This API can be implemented to provide an interface for adding build modes, fields and plugins through code or the UIInstallationUnpack in your modules folder (usually '/sites/all/modules/')Enable under Administer > Site Building > ModulesHere are some key features of "Display suite":dlTE Regions: every field can be dropped in its own region per build mode.dlTE Define custom build modes via the UI.dlTE Define custom (block) fields via the UI with token integration.dlTE Hooks for adding and overriding custom fields, custom build modes and plugins.dlTE Plugins to alter the display at runtime.
