Views, blocks, PHP code, nodes, other menus, 3 column layouts with different views in each column - anything that you can put in a panel can be put in a mega menu!The awesome Panels module handles the heavy lifting of providing the content to display in the hover menu, and the qTip jQuery library manages displaying the content when hovering or clicking a menu item.The hover effect and design are configurable for each menu item, and it is possible to set a site wide default style.Used carefully, the mega menu pattern can be an awesome UI enhancement, and has contributed towards doubling conversion rates on the ecommerce site this module was originally developed for, by making every product no more than a single click away.Requirements * The qTip jQuery library. See the installation instructions on how to download that library. * It also requires PanelsInstallation 1. Download the menu_minipanels module, along with Panels and Ctools 2. Add the modules to your modules directory 3. Visit the the qtip download page and download the minified qTip version. The name of the file you need from the archive is jquery.qtip-1.0.0-rc3.min.js. 4. Place this file in the js/lib subfolder. I.E if you have the module installed at sites/all/modules/menu_minipanels, the correct location for the file is sites/all/modules/menu_minipanels/js/lib/jquery.qtip-1.0.0-rc3.min.js 5. Enable the module 6. Visit "Menu Minipanels Settings" to configure default settings for qTipConfigurationFirst, you need to create mini panels to display whatever content you wish to be in the menu hover. If you've never used panels before, you can find documentation on the panels module home page. If you've never used the Panels, panels are super turbocharged blocks.Once you have created a minipanel, visit the edit page of the appropriate menu item, and below the usual menu item options, you will see a select box called "Menu Minipanel". This select box contains a list of all the minipanels on your site.Choose the minipanel you have just created, and qTip configuration options will appear. Configure the options, then save the item. Saving the menu item instantly activates the new super menu.The configuration options mirror the qTip configuration. It is recommended to set site wide defaults by visiting "Menu Minipanels Settings" in order to maintain a consistent look and feel across your site.For more information on what each of the config settings does to the menu, see the qTip reference docs
