Gigya provides a single API that aggregates authentication and social APIs from Facebook Connect, MySpace ID, Twitter, and OpenID webmail providers including Google, Yahoo, and AOL. The Gigya module for Drupal is fully configurable, requiring little time to install.The Gigya module makes it easy for Drupal site owners to: 1. Authenticate users via Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other OpenID providers enabling an increase in site registration rate by more than 30%. 2. Increase site traffic by sending user status updates, tweets and newsfeed events to social networks. Easily configure the user experience, design, and module functionality using the Drupal administration panel.Development for the 3.x version of Gigya was lead by azinck, with assistance from add1sun of Lullabot.InstallationThis module requires more than downloading and enabling to work properly. Please be sure to see the installation section of the documentation for instructions on how to configure the module.Its imperative that you run update.php after updating the module. Although db changes are usually rare, this can be a common reason why an upgrade results in odd errors.DependenciesThe Gigya module requires an account for Gigya. Administrators can either setup applications on the social network or have Gigya provision those applications for your site.Although it is not an absolute requirement most of the functionality of the module comes when using Trigger module to configure triggers for actions such as sending a newsfeed update to social networks when a user registers for the site, updates their profile, or posts a comment.Server time settings are critical to the Gigya Module. In order to secure the process of communicating with the server it is important that the server's time and timezone be set to the correct time.Before reporting bugs please make sure you are running the latest -dev version or version from CVS.
